Your rides are personal, and so is the data behind them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. Moveee is private by design — we never sell your data.
1. Who we are
Moveee ("we", "us") is the data controller responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@moveee.app.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and password (always stored securely, never in plain text).
- Training data — rides, power, heart rate, GPS routes, and related metrics that you connect from services like Strava or upload yourself.
- Usage data — how you interact with Moveee, plus device and log information we need to run and secure the Service.
3. How and why we use your data
We only use your data for clear reasons, each with a legal basis under the GDPR:
- To provide the Service — building your profile, plans, and routes (performance of our contract with you).
- To improve and secure Moveee and prevent abuse (our legitimate interests).
- To communicate with you about your account and important changes (contract / legitimate interests).
- For anything optional, such as marketing, only with your consent — which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Moveee — such as our hosting provider, and the third-party platforms you choose to connect — under contracts that require them to protect it.
5. Third-party connections
When you connect Strava or a head unit, we receive data from them according to the access you authorise. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. You can disconnect any service at any time in your Settings.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period — except where we're required to retain certain records by law.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and withdraw any consent you've given. Contact us to exercise these rights. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your information safe is a priority we take seriously.
9. International transfers
Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
